I think those are the downloaded files before decompression and moving. OK here we go, i don't know how this happened but i have figured out another location that i think it belongs to the windows installation files before moving them to C:\$GetCurrent\mediaįound a folder in one of my drives name: "Windows10Upgrade", and found those files in with their names:

When the update assistant fails the install it mostly likely just deletes the files it has moved/decompressed and does not bother restoring them.įor this reason I suggested the Media Creation Tool. During the upgrade process Windows is moving/decompressing those files elsewhere in C:\Windows. Now my files are got lost, there's no restore point to undo these steps. Then i opened windows 10 update assistant again, to check the installation process again, then i found it downloading from the beginning, i checked again the files in the same location to find it get overridden by the new files i just started. Hi guys, I'm currently running windows 10 version 1709, due to some problem with my windows update, i have downloaded windows 10 update assistant to upgrade to the latest version of windows 10 1903.Įverything was working fine, downloaded successfully, but when it asked me to restart my PC to finish installing, it goes to 12% then it said: "undoing changes made to this computer" and it ended not installing the version 1903.Īnyways i have figured out the location of downloaded feature, just to make sure my files are not lost because of this problem.
